Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Rehabilitation Specialist to lead and manage our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and rehabilitation services, with a passion for empowering individuals on their journey to recovery. As the PRP Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the program s daily operations, ensuring quality service delivery, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

Program Management:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive PRP services that align with the organization’s mission and objectives.
  • Design individualized treatment plans based on clients’ needs, strengths, and goals.
  • Ensure the program meets Joint Commission standards, COMAR requirements, and best practices in behavioral health rehabilitation.

Supervision and Leadership:

  • Provide effective leadership to PRP staff, including training, supervision, performance evaluations, and professional development.

  • Implement evidence-based practices to promote skill development, wellness, and recovery.

Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor program outcomes, client progress, and satisfaction to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, interventions, and progress notes.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, and compliance reviews.

Collaboration and Networking:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with community partners, referral sources, and other healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to coordinate resources, support, and services for clients in the program.
  • Represent the organization in relevant community events, meetings, and forums.

Professional Development:

  • Stay current with developments in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation, mental health, and behavioral health services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related
  • field.
  • Licensed or certified in a relevant discipline (e.g., Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health rehabilitation, with 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of psychiatric rehabilitation principles, evidence-based practices, and client-centered care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission (or similar accreditation) standards and COMAR requirements related to psychiatric rehabilitation services.
