What an IOP week looks like

  • Standard groups: Mon, Wed, Thu, 6 to 9pm (3 hours each)
  • Optional resource group: Tue, 6 to 9pm, for clients who need additional support
  • 100% telehealth groups: Attend from anywhere in Maryland
  • In-office tox screens: Periodic visits to our Silver Spring office for tox screens (groups stay telehealth)
  • Duration: Determined by your clinical needs and consistent attendance. Most clients spend roughly 16 weeks in the program.
  • Group-based, evidence-informed: Relapse prevention, CBT skills, mindfulness
A note on scope:We don't offer detox, medication management, or individual psychotherapy. If you need those services, we'll help you find a provider who does.

Yes. We accept Maryland Medicaid for IOP regardless of which HealthChoice MCO you are enrolled in: Priority Partners, Wellpoint, Maryland Physicians Care, MedStar Family Choice, Aetna Better Health, Kaiser, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, CareFirst CHPMD, Jai Medical Systems, and others. Our intake team handles the coverage verification for you.

No referral is required. You can reach out to us yourself by calling, texting, or filling out our online form. Once you do, our team will follow up to walk you through the assessment and coverage verification steps.

Yes. Our IOP groups are 100% telehealth, so you can attend from anywhere in Maryland with a private space and a reliable internet connection. Clients do come to our Silver Spring office periodically for tox screens, but no group attendance is in-person.

Many of our clients are stable on medication-assisted treatment (MAT) like Suboxone or methadone and continue with their MAT prescriber while attending our IOP. We do not prescribe or manage MAT in-house, but we coordinate alongside your prescribing provider.

IOP duration is personalized. Most clients spend roughly 16 weeks in the program, but the actual length is determined by your clinical needs and consistent attendance. There is no fixed end date; you and your clinician decide together when you are ready to step down.

Our team contacts you within 24 business hours to answer questions, verify your Maryland Medicaid coverage, and walk you through the assessment. Most clients onboard within 1 to 2 business days of submitting the form.

Maryland's behavioral health benefit is administered by Carelon Behavioral Health, the state's Administrative Services Organization. You don't need to manage this yourself. We handle the back-end verification and authorization steps so you can focus on treatment.
